Ancient Indian Vimana Shastra: Unique Form of Sanatan Vedic Science:
In Hindu Vedic texts and ancient sage literature, there are descriptions of airplanes flying with the wind, for seculars these may be fictions, but without paying attention to the words of the devout people, we expand the facts. 1 day of is equal to 4,32,000,000 days of our years on Earth. And this 1 Brahma day is divided into four yugas i.e., Satyug, Treta, Dwapar and presently Kaliyuga.
The age of Satyuga is fixed as 1,72,8000 years, similarly the age of Treta and Kali Yuga has also been determined with respect to 1,000 cycles.

In Satyuga, living beings and living beings lived a very long and complex life, respectively, from Treta and Dwapar, Kaliyuga age decreased and the spread of truth started decreasing,
Due to the longer life of the people of that time and more influence of truth, they developed spiritual understanding and mystical powers, and one of the scientific works created by the people of that time was "Aeronautics".

Various vimanas were developed according to the demand of the time, which were built by the Yakshas (who can be called engineers) on the orders of Lord Brahma and other deities,
These vimanas were made from natural design, structures like birds' wings were used in them, the later vimanas were built by saints and sages of Vedic knowledge, there were also different types of vimanas according to the three yugas,
In the first era, in Satyuga, the aircraft used to fly with the power of mantras, in the second era Treta used the combined power of mantra and tantra, in the third era Dwapar used to fly the aircraft with the collective energy of all three, in the present age, that is, Kaliyug. I have a great lack of knowledge of mantra and tantra, so today's planes fly only with mechanical power,
We know the number of types of vimanas corresponding to the ages, in Satyuga there were 26 types (models) of Mantrika vimanas, in Treta there were 56 types of Nerva planes, and in Dwapara there were also 26 types of Krittika (involved) vimanas,
However, there is no difference between them in terms of size and construction.

The great Indian Acharya Maharishi Bharadwaj composed a treatise, namely, "Vimanika" or "Vimanika Shastra".

In 1875, a copy of the book Vimanika Shastra was found in a temple in South India. This book is said to be 400 years before Christ, this book has been translated into English language. In this book, there are descriptions of 97 other vimanacharyas and 20 such works which give detailed information about the shape and type of vimanas. It is a matter of regret that many of these priceless works are now extinct. Many works were burnt by the heretics in Nalanda University.
In this great book, the methods of making various types of aircraft, airplanes and flying-caps have been given, and the methods of using and manufacturing the aircraft and its parts and fuel have also been described, they used fuel or propellant in their planes. Or used mercury (Mercury Hg) as propellant.

Very few people know that the first aircraft of Kaliyuga was not built by the Wright brothers, the first aircraft was made in 1895 AD by Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, a teacher of the Bombay School of Arts, a great Vedic scholar, by his wife (who herself is also a scholar of Sanskrit). was built and flown with the help of He built a Marutsakha type of aircraft. Its flight was demonstrated by Talpade at the Mumbai Chowpatty in front of the then Baroda King Sir Shivaji Rao Gaekwad and Lalji Narayan, a prominent citizen of Bombay. The plane flew to a height of 1500 feet and then came down on its own. It is said that such a device was installed in this plane, due to which it stopped rising after a certain height. He also showed this aircraft to Mahadev Govind Ranade.

Unfortunately, in the meantime, Talpade's learned life partner passed away. As a result, they could not move forward in this direction. He died on 17th September, 1918 AD.
It is certainly very unfortunate that Talpade sir, who built and flew an aircraft long before the Wright Brothers, could not be recognized as the first aircraft manufacturer of the modern world even after so many years of independence (?). And what is even more unfortunate is that in the text books, instead of Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, the Wright brothers are still being credited for being the first aircraft builders, which is totally untrue.
There is also information related to the construction of aircraft in the Indian text "Samarangan:- Sutra Dhara". In this book, there is a description of the use of aeronautical machines at the time of war, there are 230 Sanskrit verses in this book, due to lack of space, we are not writing the entire verse of this book here, otherwise the article will be long.
But we are definitely translating the 190th verse of this book:-
"[2:20. 190] Moving mercury through the right wing of the plane full of circles at the center at the speed of sound relative to the fuel produces a small but high pressure internal energy, which propels your instrument into the sky. will move slowly, so that the person sitting inside the instrument will travel in an unforgettable way, the combination of four hard metal mercury vessels should be done in the proper position, and they should be heated in a controlled way, by doing this your aircraft You will be seen flying like a bright pearl in the sky."
The translation of a prose of this book is as follows -

“First of all five types of vimanas were constructed for Brahma, Vishnu, Yama, Kubera and Indra. Then other vimanas were created. The details of the four main categories are as follows:-

(1) Rukma – Rukma was pointed and golden colored vimanas.

(2) Sundarah – Sundar: Triangle-shaped and having silver (silver) vimanas.

(3) Tripurah - Tripurah was a three-tiered conical vimana.

(4) Shakunah – Shakunah was shaped like a bird. And these were interplanetary planes.

Ten chapters have been written on related topics such as training of pilots, routes of flight, parts of aircraft, equipment, clothing of drivers and passengers and what type of food should be taken during long flight. In the book, the method of cleaning metals, the material used for it, acids such as lemon or apple or other chemicals, the oil used in the plane and the temperature etc. have also been written.

Also, 7 types of engines have been described, and for what specific purpose they should be used and at what height it will be successful and best.

The summary of the book is that technical and practical information is available on every subject in it. The aircraft are also said to be capable of flying straight up and down, back and forth and obliquely like modern helicopters.

Apart from this, our other texts - Ramayana, Mahabharata, four Vedas, Yuktikaralapatu (12th century AD), Mayamtam, Shatapat Brahmana, Markandeya Purana, Vishnu Purana, Bhagavata Purana, Harivamsa, Uttamcharitra, Harshacharitra, Tamil text Jeevikachintamani, I and many more Vedic texts I have also been told about planes in detail.

In the words of Maharishi Bharadwaj - "The aircraft are called vimanas because they fly like birds, (Vegasamyad Vimanondajanamati..)
Types of aircraft:-

(1) Shaktyudgam Vimana - "electrically propelled aircraft"

(2) Smoke aircraft - "aircraft propelled by smoke, vapor etc."

(3) Ashuvah Vimana - "the plane propelled by the rays of the sun",

(4) Shikhodbhag vimana - "a mercury propelled aircraft",

(5) Starmukh Vimana - "a plane propelled by magnetic power",

(6) Marutsakh Vimana - "Aircraft propelled by gas etc."

(7) Ghost carrier aircraft - "aircraft propelled by water, fire and air"

Those aircraft which were not man-made but their shape type is in line with modern 'flying saucers'. The ancient Indian texts of Vimana Vikas are available in the number of hundreds in ancient Sanskrit language, but it is a matter of regret that they have not yet been translated into any modern language.

The aircraft invented by the ancient Indians had also compiled instructions regarding the movement system of aircraft and their care, which are available even today and some of them have also been translated into English. The details of some of the main ancient texts on the subject of avionics are as follows:-

First Book:

(1) Rigveda- This Adi Granth mentions about vimanas at least 200 times. Among them there are mention of three-storeyed, triangular-shaped, and three-wheeled vimanas which were built by the Ashwins (scientists). They could normally carry three passengers. Gold, silver and iron metals were used for the manufacture of aircraft and they had wings on either side. There are many types of vimanas mentioned in the Vedas. The Ahnihotra vimana had two engines and the Hastaha vimana (elephant-shaped vimana) had more than two engines. Another aircraft had the form of a king-fisher bird. Similarly there were vimanas with the form of many other creatures. There is no doubt that as in the twentieth century, humans must have taken the inspiration to fly from birds.

The planes mentioned in the Rigveda for transport are as follows-

(1) Ship – It could move in both air and water planes. (Rig Veda 6.58.3)

(2) Karayan – This too could move in both air and water planes. (Rig Veda 9.14.1)

(3) Tritala – The size of this vimana was three-storeyed. (Rigveda 3.14.1)

(4) Trichakra Rath – This chariot-like tricycle could fly in the sky. (Rigveda 4.36.1)

(5) Vayurath - This vimana, like a chariot, used to run on the power of gas or air. (Rigveda 5.41.6)

(6) Electric chariot – This type of chariot used to run on the power of Vimana Electricity. (Rigveda 3.14.1).
Second book:

(2) Yajurveda - Yajurveda also mentions another vimana and their circulation system which was built by twin Ashwin Kumars. With the use of this aircraft, he saved King Bhujyu from drowning in the sea.

Third Book:

(3) Yantra Sarvasvah – This book is also composed by Maharishi Bharadwaj. It has 40 parts, out of which one part has eight chapters of 'Vimanika Episode', about 100 subjects and 500 sutras in which Vimana Vigyan is mentioned. In this book, sage Bharadwaj has divided the planes into three categories:-

(1) Inland – Those who go from one place to another.

(2) International – Those who go from one country to another.

(3) Interstellar - Those who go from one planet to another.

Among these were the most notable military aircraft, whose characteristics have been written in detail and can surprise even the most modern science fiction writer.

For example - the characteristics of military aircraft were as follows-

completely unbreakable,

completely safe from fire

When needed, able to become stable at once in the blink of an eye,

the ability to become invisible from the enemy (stealth ability),

Able to hear conversations and other sounds in enemy aircraft.

The ability to record sounds coming from inside enemy aircraft and visuals there in the aircraft itself,

 To predict and monitor the direction and position of enemy aircraft,

the ability to stun enemy pilots and passengers for a long time,

the ability to overcome personal setbacks and numbness,

the ability to self-destruct when necessary,

the ability of drivers and passengers to change themselves according to the seasons,

automatic temperature control,

 Made of lightweight and heat-absorbing metals and the ability to enlarge your size, and completely control the sounds of your walk.

It is worth considering that this type of aircraft may be a mixture of America's most modern stealth aircraft and other aircraft. Rishi Bharadwaj was not a modern fiction writer. But to conceive of such a plane amazes the modern intellectuals, how did the sages of India conceive of such a scientific model.

He wrote about the world of space and ultra-modern aircraft, when other countries of the world could not even acquire the knowledge of simple farming.

Fourth Book:

(4) Katha Sarit Sagar – This text mentions high-ranking workers (engineers) such as woodworkers who were called Rajyadhar and Pranadhar. They also built chariots to cross the sea and could make flying planes carrying a thousand passengers. These chariot aircraft used to move at the speed of the mind.

Fifth Book:

(5) Arthashastra - Chanakya's Arthashastra also mentions other craftsmen besides sevikas (pilots) who used to fly planes in the sky. Chanakya has used a specific word for him "Akash Yudhinaah" which means fighter-pilot in the sky.

The Akash-Ratha, is also mentioned in the inscriptions of Emperor Ashoka, which were installed in his period (237-256 BCE).

Bhardwaj Muni has written in Vimanika Shastra, - "Only the one who knows the secrets of the plane is entitled to operate it."

Thirty-two secrets of piloting an aircraft have been told in the scriptures. Only the one who has the best knowledge of him is entitled to run it. Because that's where a successful pilot can be.

It is impossible to build an aircraft, to take it from the ground to the sky, to raise it, to propel it forward, to spin or spin and to increase or decrease the velocity of the aircraft without knowing it.

Now we will discuss some aircraft mysteries.

(1) Krutaka Rahasya - This is the third secret among the thirty-two mysteries, according to which we can make the desired aircraft with the necessary metals on the basis of the Vimana scriptures of Vishwakarma, Chhayapurush, Manu and Maydanava etc., in this we can say that this hardware i.e. tomorrow- Parts are described.

(2) Mystery - This is the fifth mystery in which the method of hiding the plane (Stealth Mode) is given. According to this, according to the method mentioned in the Vayu element episode, the eighth periphery line of the Vatastambh, which is the dark power that destroys the sun rays by the air forces like Yasa, Viasa and Prayas etc. The plane hides.

(3) Aparoksha Rahasya - This is the ninth secret. According to this, the objects coming in front of the aircraft can be seen directly due to the spread of Rohini Vidyut, said in the Shakti Tantra.

(4) Sankasha - This is the tenth secret. According to this, the aircraft should be shortened if necessary while flying in the sky.

(5) Vistara - This is the eleventh secret. According to this, the aircraft has to be enlarged or shortened if required. It is to be known here that in the present period this technique has developed after 1970.

(6) Surpassing Rahasya - This is the twenty-two secret according to which it is possible to fly the plane at a zigzag speed like a snake. It has been said in this that by attracting the powers of seven types of wind and sun rays, by placing them in the center of the vehicle which is obliquely throwing them in the mouth, then pulling them should be allowed to enter the power-generating canal. . After this, by pressing the button, the speed of the aircraft becomes zig-zag like a snake.

(7) Parashab-The Customer Secret - This is the twenty-fifth secret. It states that by applying the word Grahak Yantra on a plane, it can be used to listen to the conversations of people on other aircraft.

(8) Rupkarshana Rahasya - Through this the inside view of other planes can be seen.

(9) The direction of the second plane is known by the instrument called Diksha Sampatha.

(9) Stumbling mystery - By releasing a special type of gas column called Apasmara on another plane, everyone inside becomes unconscious.

(10) Traction mystery - This is the thirty-second secret, according to this, on the enemy aircraft coming to destroy your aircraft, by burning flame in the tube named Vaishvanar, living in the mouth of your aircraft, there should be eighty-seven links (there is a measure like degree) proof. The enemy plane is destroyed by spreading that power in a circular direction on the enemy planes by heating them till then and then by moving the buttons of both the wheels.

"Avionics Maharishi Saunak" divides the sky route into five types and "Maharishi Dhundinath" refers to different periods or storms at the height of different routes and indicates hundreds of travel paths at that altitude. In this, the path determined at different heights up to 100 km above the earth and the forces working there are described in detail.

The sky routes and their periods are described as follows -

(1) 10 kilometer - line path - in case of strong storm or cyclone

(2) 50 kms - windward - when strong wind blows

(3) 60 km - Orbital Path - At the time of glacial solar storm

(4) 80 kms - Shaktipath - Satyavrat when snow falls

An important thing is the description of how the pilots of the aircraft should eat in the plane and on the earth-

The aircraft of that time were somewhat different from today. Today's aircraft have a fixed landing place, but at that time planes could land anywhere.

Therefore, if you had to enter the forest during the war, then how should one survive, that is why 100 plants have been described, with the help of which life can be maintained for two-three months. Until the other planes find you.

It is said in Vimanika Shastra that the pilot should never fly the plane on an empty stomach. In 1990, the US Air Force made a similar conclusion after 10 years of observation.

Now let us present the facts about the instruments and equipments installed in the aircraft -

In the "Vimanika-Shastra" there is a description of 31 types of instruments and their fixed place in the vimana. What is the function of these machines has also been described. The details of some of the instruments are as follows -

(1) Visva Kriya Darpan - Through this device, the pilot used to see the activities going on around the plane, inside the plane, mica and mercury were used to make it.

(2) Parivaar Kriya Yantra - This device used to control the speed of the aircraft.

(3) Shabdkarshan Mantra - 26 km by this yantra. The sound of the area could be heard and the sound of birds, etc., could have saved the aircraft from a "bird-collision" accident.

(4) Garbh-Griha Yantra - Explosives were discovered inside the ground by this device.

(5) Shaktikarshan Yantra - The function of this device was to attract toxic rays and convert them into heat and release them into the atmosphere of heat.

(6) Directional instrument - This was a direction showing instrument (compass).

(7) Curve transmission device - With this device, if the enemy aircraft suddenly came in front, then it was possible to turn back at the same time.

(8) Apasmara Yantra - During the war, poisonous gas was released from this device.

(9) Tamogarbha Yantra - Through this yantra it was possible to hide the aircraft during enemy war. And tamogarbha iron was the main component in its construction.

Various energy sources have been described in "Vimanika-Shastra" to operate the aircraft, Maharishi Bharadwaj mentions three types of energy sources for this.

(1) Oil of various rare vegetable - it used to work as fuel.

(2) Steam of mercury - It is described in ancient scriptures to be used as power. It was used to fly a plane in America, but when it went up, it exploded. But it has been proved that mercury vapor can be used as energy, more work is yet to be done in this direction.

(3) Solar energy - The aircraft was also powered by the energy of the Sun. Flying a plane by consuming solar energy, like a boat floats on the wind when the sail is opened in the sea. Similarly, in space, the aircraft will continue to move by taking the power of the Sun from the atmosphere. Satellites work through this process.

In "Vimanika-Shastra" Maharishi Bharadwaj has described the metals needed to make the aircraft, but the question arises whether there is any part of the "Vimaanika-Shastra" which can be proved by experiment in the first instance?

If there is such a part, have there been some experiments in this direction?

have they had any success

Fortunately these questions can be answered with a yes.

Dr. Sriram Prabhu of Hyderabad saw the Yantradhikaran of the book "Vayunik-Shastra", then he identified some of the 31 instruments mentioned in it and whether it is possible to manufacture the alloys that make these instruments, or not. The idea came to his mind. For the experiment, Dr. Prabhu and his associates conducted B.A. in Hyderabad. In collaboration with M. Birla Science Center, a project was made to manufacture metals, mirrors etc. described in ancient Indian literature in the laboratory and its results are promising.
